Here's what Susan Boyle was doing before she recently auditioned for Americas Got Talent

Susan Boyle took the world by storm when she stepped on the "American's Got Talent" and "Britain's Got Talent" stage.

Boyle made her first appearance on AGT nearly a decade ago, where she received a Golden Buzzer during "The Champions" challenge.

The 57-year-old Boyle performed the Rolling Stones' "Wild Horses," which won her a standing ovation and impressed the judges.

RISING TO THE TOP

Since first performing on stage back in 2009, Boyle released a debut album titled "I Dreamed a Dream" which made it to the top of the charts.

It became the UK's best-selling album of all time. Over the next few years, Boyle released six more albums and sold more than 25 million records worldwide.

Her last album was released two years ago but didn't reach the same levels of success as its predecessors.

RECORD SALE DOWNWARD SPIRAL

Her last chart-topping single was "You Raise Me Up" back in 2014. The song didn't perform as well as her "Oh Come All Ye Faithful" the previous year.

Boyle stepped away from the limelight for about four years but is now ready to return to the "America's Got Talent" stage.

Hard-to-impress judge Simon Cowell was "delighted that Susan agreed to come back. Read more on our Twitter account, @amomama_usa.

VICTIM OF BULLYING

Rumour has it that Boyle kept out of the public's eye due to falling victim to bullies in her hometown.

She was humiliated by the incidents and even considering calling the cops to ensure her safety. Thankfully, Boyle has people in her corner.

When the abuse and bullying made headlines, "Good Morning Britain" host and former "Britain's Got Talent" judge Piers Morgan said:

"This disgusts me. Vile little vermin."

BOYLE TODAY

Boyle currently lives in her hometown of Blackburn, West Lothian. After soaring to fame, Boyle bought a four-bedroom ex-council house for £65,000.

She also purchased a second home, but it just didn't feel right for her, so Boyle moved her niece into the new house and moved back to the council house.

She has a net worth of approximately £26million, even though the most expensive item in her home is a coat of £300 and a bottle of Chanel No. 5.
